Changing Lives Through Community Medical Outreach & Clean Water
We deliver community-based medical outreach and WASH interventions across underserved communities in Northern Ghana through screening, vaccination support, maternal care awareness, hygiene education, referrals, and clean water access.
Through our “Small Acts. Big Happy.” mission, we help communities access early medical support and safe water before crisis happens.
Small Acts. Big Happy.
Why Medical Outreach and WASH Are a Priority
On April 19, 2026, Give Basic Needs carried out a large-scale medical outreach in Kpatinga, Gushegu Municipality, reaching over 1,000 community members with free screenings, vaccination support, deworming, wound care, hygiene support, and preventive medical education.
The results were urgent: 1 in every 15 people tested was living with Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, or HIV. This discovery has made preventive medical screening a major focus of our 2026 community outreach work.

Community Medical & WASH Initiative
The Give Basic Needs Community Medical & WASH Initiative delivers preventive medical support and clean water access directly to underserved communities across Northern Ghana.
Through community-based events, we provide free medical screening, vaccination support, deworming, maternal care education, hygiene education, wound care, and clean water interventions to help communities detect and prevent medical challenges before they become crises.
- Community Medical Screening – Free testing for malaria, typhoid, Hepatitis B and C, HIV, and other preventive medical assessments.
- Vaccination & Prevention – Hepatitis B vaccination support, deworming programs, maternal care education, and seasonal malaria prevention awareness.
- WASH & Clean Water Access – Mechanized boreholes, hygiene education, and clean water initiatives that support safer, healthier communities.
- Community Support & Dignity – Distribution of sanitary pads, condoms, hygiene products, Vitamin C, dewormers, and direct support during community events.
By combining preventive medical support with WASH interventions, Give Basic Needs helps underserved communities access essential services, reduce preventable disease, and build stronger, more resilient futures.
