Changing Lives Through Community Health & Clean Water
We deliver community health and WASH interventions across underserved communities in Northern Ghana through health outreach, screening, vaccination, maternal health support, hygiene education, and clean water access.
Through our “Small Acts. Big Happy.” mission, we help communities access healthcare and safe water before crisis happens.
Small Acts. Big Happy.
Why Health and Wash are a Priority
On April 19, 2026, Give Basic Needs carried out a large-scale medical outreach in Kpatinga, Gushegu Municipality, reaching over 1,000 community members with free screenings, vaccination, deworming, wound care, hygiene support, and health education.
The results were urgent: 1 in every 15 people tested was living with Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, or HIV. This discovery has made preventive health screening a major focus of our 2026 community health work.

Community Health & WASH Outreach Initiative
The Give Basic Needs Community Health & WASH Initiative delivers preventive healthcare and clean water support directly to underserved communities across Northern Ghana.
Our outreach events combine free medical screening, vaccination, deworming, maternal health support, hygiene education, wound care, and clean water interventions to help communities detect and prevent health challenges before they become crises.
- Community Health Screening – Free testing for Malaria, Typhoid, Hepatitis B & C, HIV/AIDS, and other preventive health assessments.
- Vaccination & Prevention – Hepatitis B vaccination, deworming programs, maternal health education, and seasonal malaria prevention awareness.
- WASH & Clean Water Access – Mechanized boreholes, hygiene education, and clean water initiatives supporting healthier communities.
- Community Support & Dignity – Distribution of sanitary pads, condoms, hygiene products, Vitamin C, dewormers, and direct community support during outreach events.
By combining healthcare outreach with WASH interventions, Give Basic Needs is helping underserved communities access essential care, reduce preventable disease, and build healthier futures through practical, community-centered support.
