We are proud to announce the successful completion of the second of five projects slated for completion in Ghana. This transformative initiative involved the refurbishment of a hand pump borehole in Nabule, a village in the Northern Region under the Gushegu municipality. The refurbished borehole is not just a water source; it represents a lifeline for the people of Nabule and its environs, a predominantly female and child farming community that practices polygamy. The estimated population of Nabule and its environs is 800.

Addressing Water Challenges: The Nabule Borehole Refurbishment
Access to clean and reliable water is a cornerstone of community well-being, and Nabule faced challenges common to many rural areas – the need for a sustainable water source. The refurbishment of the hand pump borehole in Nabule aimed to provide the community with a potable and consistent water supply. In doing so, the project not only quenched the villagers’ immediate thirst but also laid the groundwork for improved health, reduced waterborne illnesses, and enhanced overall quality of life.
Impact on Nabule: A Reservoir of Change
Enhancing Community Well-being
The Nabule Borehole Refurbishment is a testament to the commitment to community well-being. With an estimated population of 800, mainly comprising women and children, the refurbished borehole has become a central hub for clean water access. The ripple effect of this initiative extends beyond the immediate availability of water, touching upon improved hygiene practices, health standards, and the empowerment of women and children in their daily lives.
Sustainable Water Supply
A vital aspect of the refurbishment project is its contribution to a sustainable water supply for Nabule and its environs. The hand pump borehole ensures the community no longer grapples with unreliable water sources. This shift from dependence on sporadic water availability to a consistent and potable water supply relieves the villagers, especially the women and children who often bear the brunt of water-related challenges.
Polygamous Farming Community: Meeting Unique Needs
Understanding the specific dynamics of Nabule as a polygamous practicing farming community was integral to the project’s success. The borehole refurbishment acknowledges and addresses the unique water-related challenges faced by this community, where women play a central role in water collection. By doing so, the initiative aligns with our ethos – creating targeted solutions that cater to the specific needs of each community.
Continuing the Mission: Three Projects, Countless Lives
The Nabule Borehole Refurbishment marks the completion of the second project in our ongoing mission to bring positive change to communities in need. With three more projects on the horizon, we remain dedicated to extending the transformative power of clean water to more villages, fostering health, empowerment, and sustainable development.
Join us in celebrating the success of the Nabule Borehole Refurbishment and supporting our ongoing mission. Together, we can make clean water a reality for communities like Nabule, creating a foundation for a healthier and more empowered future.
