Why Was Give Basic Needs Created?
Many communities around the world continue to live without access to basic necessities such as food, shelter, and essential medical services. Give Basic Needs was created to help reduce this suffering while recognising that every person deserves happiness, dignity, and the opportunity to live with hope.
This belief led to the formation of an organisation committed to delivering essential resources directly to people in need through acts of giving rooted in compassion, dignity, and human connection.
Our Mission
We work in partnership with private operating foundations, including the Colussi Family Foundation, to deliver critical charitable services such as food, shelter, and medical support to economically disadvantaged individuals and families. Our acts of giving are designed to reduce suffering, cultivate community happiness, and inspire others to extend kindness within their own communities.
